Michele's Bio
I first began teaching Yoga more than a decade ago because someone asked me to do it.
I continued because it felt like home. In 2006 after teaching Yoga part time for many years, I
was fortunate enough to be liberated from my corporate software job. This potentially devastating
event became the birth of my studio - Seva Yoga. Now I cannot imagine my life any other way.
Being able to teach full time and introduce so many people to the practice is a privilege and a
blessing to me.
My practice and teaching has evolved greatly over the years and I have been fortunate to study
with many great and knowledgeable teachers locally and nationally. My formal training was in
Ashtanga, however my interests have led me to contemplate many disciplines of Yoga. This journey
of study has created a teaching style that is a blend of many practices in a harmonious flow. I
draw inspiration from my students, my life and nature to bring to my classes.
Jess's Bio
I was 15 when I first found Yoga, and through years of
practicing with various teachers and styles, the mat has become
my second home. Since 2004, I (and my mat) have traveled to
Asia, Africa and South America working as an English teacher and
volunteer. When I began practicing Ashtanga, my Yoga began to
take new life. In 2007, I completed my Ashtanga Yoga Teacher
Training in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with my teacher, Sanjaya.
Shortly after, my husband and I opened a studio in the mountains
of the Atlantic Forest. I am honored to be a part of the Seva
team and look forward to sharing the Ashtanga practice and
exploring the bliss of Yoga with my students.

RYT500 & Anusara Certified Yoga Teacher
For most of my grown up years I have practiced yoga; being on my mat became
a way to connect with my own expression of artistry and beauty. Yoga taught me
to feel at home with myself -- and in this body. It was with enthusiastic
gratitude for all I had learned, in 2004, that I began to teach. My
inspirations are : art, the beauty of the human spirit, travel, trees....and
the powerful cycles & pulse of nature. These reflect in the practice; I delight
in weaving philosophy, breath & movement into an integrated unfolding of the
poses. With an emphasis on alignment and artful precision, the student feels
safe, strong and a powerful freedom of expression. Together, we celebrate &
make more sense of the amazing mystery that is life.....and all the miraculous
connections. It is a joy to teach, and share this practice with the excellent
students at Seva Yoga. Many thanks to my dear teachers, John Friend and Betsey
Downing for their excellence, and always seeing the highest.
Rosemary's Bio
I practice to see … to play amongst the light … to look around
and to view the physical, the energized connections of people,
and to see the other side; to remember that, the look is from
within. This practice has led me through seven years, evolving
and growing throughout. I am very excited to sprinkle this
lifestyle over others' lives and I am grateful for the
opportunity to bring this joy to your children when we play on
the mat.
Brooke's Bio
After years of language teaching it is a natural to find myself
integrating my passions and teaching yoga, the language of life.
My teacher training at Karma Yoga with Katherine Lucas has been
a life transforming experience for which I am grateful.
Among my many blessings I count the opportunity to join the Seva
Yoga family making yoga more than a "practice" but my way of
life.
Marro's Bio
I experienced my first yoga class in 2000 and since that time
have had the opportunity to explore different yoga styles with
many wonderful teachers. My yoga journey has most recently lead
to the completion of the 200-hour teacher training program at
The Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, Massachusetts in September
2008.
My yoga practice provides continued awareness of the life force
energy being expressed through the body, breath and mind. Yoga
keeps my body safe and my mind grounded. I love to learn and to
share; establishing myself as a teacher allows me the opportunity
to enrich the lives of others as well as my own.
Jill's Bio
I love yoga! Everything from the practices on the mat to the practices off the mat. I
found yoga in my late twenties when a studio opened just footsteps from my home. I began
classes to gain strength and flexibility of my former gymnast self, but i discovered so much
more than i expected to!
Yoga creates a state of peace, physically, mentally, and emotionally that stays with you into
the world. In August 2009, I took my 200hr teacher training at Mount Madonna in California
with my teacher Rolf Gates. This experience has only intensified the sweet essence of yoga
in my life. My favorite part of being a teacher is sharing with others what yoga is all about.
That we a part of something bigger than ourselves.
I am honored to celebrate yoga with the beautiful community at Seva Yoga! namaste.......
Molly's Bio
To me, the practice of yoga is a way of life. It is something I cherish deeply and I have
continued to find inspiration for the practice through teaching others. The beauty of
opening your mind and body to explore within has been a continued journey, which for
me began in college. I began practicing yoga to ease my mind, and over the years the
art of yoga has allowed me to become more compassionate, patient and confident, and
maintain a sense of clarity, on and off the mat. My relationships have been enriched and
my sense of self-worth and well-being, have been greatly impacted in a positive way.
Yoga gives me such a zest for life and I want to spread this energy with fellow yogis.
I completed my teaching certification from Kripalu Yoga and Health Center in
Stockbridge, MA.
Gretchen's Bio
When I first experienced yoga, I was drawn in by the strength and flexibilty needed to build asanas. I loved the way my body felt after practice! Formal studies continue with the Seva Yoga Teacher Training as I integrate the work of the body, the focus of the mind, the awareness of breath. My practice continues to broaden as I begin to teach from my experience.
Service is my true love and with yoga, I am pleased to offer a practice that serves to provide comfort, explores movement, and focuses on the breath.
Mandy's Bio
My interest in Yoga began as a means of attaining increased strength and flexibility. Although both these attributes did increase, I continue to be amazed at the overwhelming sense of calm and happiness I experience through Yoga. As my practice evolves the countless benefits of Yoga are noticeable both on and off the mat. The lessons learned in the studio quickly carry over into everyday life bringing awareness and gratitude to each day. The Seva Yoga Teacher Training Shala has graced me with the opportunity to share my love of Yoga and guide others along their journey on the path of Yoga. As a teacher, I strive to create an atmosphere of openness and total acceptance – a safe space for students to let go and simply enjoy their practice.

I was first drawn to yoga by its stress relieving quality and its holistic approach- connecting mind,
body and spirit. Over my years of practice, I began to see its effects on my ability to handle stress, my
heightened awareness of my actions and reactions in life and how these actions affect life/situational
outcomes as well as affect other people. I also began to feel for the first time my increased ability to
clear my "monkey mind" from its constant activity allowing better clarity and presence in the moment.
When I began seeing yoga flowing in all areas of my life, I began to realize that this practice truly is a
holistic practice and also a way of life.
My vision and hope for my service to others through teaching yoga is to allow others to see their
abilities and allow the focus to no longer be on the negative of what we aren't or can't do, but instead
be shifted to what we ARE and CAN BE! Yoga has a beautiful way of changing the way we think about
the world around us as well as how to view and love ourselves. My hope is this self-love and love for all
is opened up in the minds of my students.
I live to learn and learning has been essential to finding my purpose in life.
I teach yoga because it has opened my heart in ways I could never verbalize. It is my goal in life to elevate others to reach their goals through the emotional, physical and spiritual journey that is Yoga.
I am inspired every day by the people who are making the choice to live healthy and compassionate lives. The RYT200 Teacher Training Program offered by Seva Yoga and Michele Fife has introduced me to a life that teaches me, on a daily basis, that all the answers I'll ever need have always been right in front of me. Sharing this message with my students is what I feel called upon to do. Through this journey I hope to share a piece of that shimmering light, encourage people of all ages to create new boundaries as the connection between breath and movement opens new spaces, new possibilities and new opportunities in all facets of their livesÉ Void of judgment or ego. We all have a purpose and we are all inclined to live it. This is mine. I can't wait to learn yours.
I discovered yoga on a pursuit toward emotional healing and well-being. The life-affirming principles and mindfulness practices I learned through asana and beyond changed my life and perspective completely. Yoga enabled me to fully inhabit my felt experience and engage the present moment honestly and compassionately. As my life took new direction toward freedom, truth and deeper being, yoga became my path.
My desire to share this transformative experience of grace, space and breath in my life with others led me to pursue teaching training at Seva. As a teacher, I seek to create a safe and inviting space for others to simply be and breathe. Led by breath and inquiry, the student's experience unfolds naturally and organically. Throughout practice, it is my hope and delight that the student encounter the challenge, vulnerability and joy of remaining open and present, both on and off-the-mat.
I am truly grateful for all the teachers at Seva Yoga and my fellow teacher trainees for inspiring and shaping my path as both student and teacher.
Yoga can be a beautiful practice of honesty and self-awareness that leads to great feelings of achievement, joy and bliss. My practice gives me acceptance or opportunity and this empowering moment is something everyone should be entitled to.
With the opportunity and encouragement I proceeded gathering knowledge to share knowledge; starting with Seva's RYT200 program under the guidance of Michele Fife. As I continue my untold journey I grow and learn from the community as the community grows and learns with me. I'm overjoyed by the opportunity to share and learn with you.
