I started yoga years ago when I was under a lot of stress. I was looking for a way to help relieve some of that stress and decided to give yoga a try. I immediately fell in love with it and have been practicing ever since.
What benefits have you experienced from your practice?
Aside from helping with stress, yoga has increased my flexibility and strength. I've also found that in times when I've felt "lost, sad, or unhappy", yoga has helped by giving me something to look forward to and focus on. Every practice is like a mini vacation from my thoughts...it's the one time of the day where I feel like I can completely lose myself and not have to think or worry about anything else.
What is your favorite asana and why? I don't have a "favorite", but I really like the anasas that focus on balance or a combination of balance and core strength. They require a lot of concentration, are challenging, and rewarding when I realize I can actually do them.
