What benefits have you experienced from your practice?
Years of running, high impact aerobics and having jobs which required being on my feet had taken a toll on my feet. Before I began my yoga practice my first steps out of bed in the morning were painful, usually involving holding onto chairs and railings until I warmed up. Today my mornings are pain free and all the soreness in my feet has virtually disappeared.
What is your favorite asana and why?
My favorite asanas are trikonasana and vasisthasana. Both these asanas make me feel strong and connected to the earth and the sky.
Both theses asanas reinforce for me the joy I have found practicing yoga.
