Ray began the study of martial arts at the age of 10 and is trained in Muay Thai, Judo, and Jujitsu as well as Tai Chi.
For the past few years he has trained diligently under Master Sifu Sam Hing Fai Chan and obtained his instructors certification. He has trained in the Tai Chi styles of Traditional Yang Long Fist, Tai Chi Palm the Mantis style, Yang Sword form, and Yang Fan form. On top of the forms, meditations, and the study of Qigong or Chi, Ray also practices the self defense aspects of Tai Chi through Push Hands and Chin Na.
