one of those days
Tuesday, April 14th, 2009We have all said it; asked it. I am having “one of those days.” Are you having “one of those days?” What exactly do we mean by that? Yesterday when I left Seva I found one of my tires flat. Getting ready to meet friends for dinner I’m running late again, and nothing I try on “looks right.” In the rush I break a favorite bracelet putting it on, and beads scatter everywhere. Is this “one of those days?”
Maybe when ONE frustrating thing occurs in life, we hold onto that initial emotion and then that effects everyone and everything else we do until we finally let go of it. Let go. That’s so easy to say and so difficult to do.
Not everything in my life is about Yoga, yet everything can be Yogic if we let it. Instead of one of those days maybe it can be just a moment — a moment where things did not go as we expected or wanted. Then the next moment happens, and it is all in the past. We breathe in, we breathe out, and life goes on.
